Cayla Mills is a poet, storyteller, and lifelong collector of beautiful things—from old books and forgotten antiques to the quiet moments that shape a life.

Her writing explores motherhood, memory, belonging, grief, nature, and the enduring pull of Ireland through lyrical prose and reflective poetry.

Raised in The Bay Area and now living in Austin, Texas, Cayla writes from a life filled with family, gardening, woodland walks, and an ever-growing library. Her work is deeply inspired by the Irish landscape, folklore, and the belief that beauty can be found in ordinary moments.

She is the author of Cardinals, her debut poetry collection, and is currently writing new collections alongside children’s books inspired by slow living, imagination, and the natural world.

Through her writing, YouTube channel, and future plans for a literary retreat in Ireland, Cayla hopes to create spaces that invite readers to slow down, reconnect with nature, and rediscover wonder.

“Thank you for spending a little time here. I hope these words find you when you need them most.”
